PTSA Meeting - rescheduled date

Are you new to living in an earthquake area? Or maybe your new year’s resolution is to create a home emergency kit but you don’t know where to start. Then join us on Thursday, January 30 at 7pm in the Grand Ridge library where the City of Issaquah’s Emergency Management Coordinator will talk with us about emergency preparedness. We’ll also do a brief update on PTSA financials and programs as well as elect a Nomination Committee to recruit for elected PTSA Board of Director positions. Children are welcome at the meeting. We hope to see you there!

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FEBRUARY 11th, 2020 RENEWAL LEVY?

Levies are the only locally approved ballot measures that directly pay for classroom and education needs in our schools that the state does not fund. This February 11, 2020 voters will have a chance to continue supporting programs and services funded by the previous levy expiring in 2020.

The 2020 EP&O Renewal Levy Continues Support For:

Career & Technical Education • Mental Health Counselors in our schools • Special Education • Early Childhood Learning • Safety and Security • Highly Capable Programs • Dual Language • After School Activities and Athletics

This is NOT a new tax. The proposed 2-year levy replaces the expiring 2018 levy at a lower overall tax rate. With voter approval of this renewal levy, we can ensure these programs continue benefiting our students for another 2 years. Please click on the links below for more information and why you should VOTE YES for our schools on February 11th!

Register to vote by February 3rd to be able to vote on the 11th.

Save the date!  Grizzlies Night Out is April 3rd at Pickering Barn.

We are looking for desirable donations such as tickets to popular events, vacation rentals, technology, gift cards for local businesses, and more.

Click here to learn more about this fun event and to fill out the donation form.

The Grand Ridge PTSA recognizes volunteers, educators and community members who go above and beyond for the sake of our kids through the Golden Acorn, Outstanding Educator, and Outstanding Advocate awards for the previous calendar year (January 2019-December 2019).  Please take a moment to recognize the extraordinary teachers, staff, volunteers and advocates in our community by submitting a nomination.

We invite any parent, staff, student or community member to make a nomination. The process is simple.  Review this document which outlines the three awards, then click on the link within the document to submit your nomination electronically.  The deadline for nomination submission is Monday, February 24, 2020.

If you prefer, paper ballots can be found in the school office and submitted there as well. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Michael, via email at eesmichael@gmail.com or via phone at 206-778-0235.
